This guide is built from the live property pages and booking engine of Lanzarote Retreats — sleeping capacities, inclusions, distances and prices come from the operator, never invented. We have not stayed in these homes ourselves; we research them and send readers.

How We Built These Numbers

Joona and Alla live in Rovaniemi, where January is a budget problem of its own, so we read Lanzarote prices the way we would for our own trip. We have not stayed in any of these homes. What we have is the 7-night totals that the Lanzarote Retreats booking engine quoted us on 23 October 2026 for set weeks, which we use as a dated snapshot rather than a price list. They change with dates, availability and the number of guests, so the live calendar on the operator’s page always wins.

Two details make the comparison fairer than it looks. First, the operator says children aged 17 and under go free at Finca de Arrieta, and in our samples a quote for two adults and two children was identical to the quote for two adults. Second, linen, towels, cleaning, utilities and wifi are included in the operator’s description of the homes, so the total you see is closer to the whole accommodation bill than on many islands. A family of four is our default, and we divide the 7-night total by four to get a per-person figure.

Finca de Arrieta: The Week-by-Week Price Table

Finca de Arrieta is the operator’s off-grid eco village in the north-east: 21 solar-powered homes 300 metres from a golden beach, with a solar-heated 13 m × 2.5 m shared pool, a play park, donkeys and a 24/7 honesty shop. There is no air conditioning, heating or television, which is partly why the prices are what they are. Here is what the engine quoted for 7 nights (2 adults, children free).

Read the table by row to compare homes and by column to see the season. The Eco Garden Cottage is a 40 m² studio with a super king-size bed, a double sofa bed in the lounge and the separate Buena Vista bedroom, which is how the operator fits four adults or a family of six in it. The Eco Cabin has two bedrooms. The Eco Calima Yurt is the cheapest way to sleep a family of four at the Finca, but the operator describes a 6 m yurt with a private W.C. and shower hut and a shared kitchen, so it is glamping, not a house. Dashes mean we did not sample that week.

The Cheapest Week Is Not in January

Look down the columns and the pattern is hard to miss. The early December week was the lowest quote for every home that we sampled for it: the Eco Cabin at €770 against €1,336 in mid-January, the Eco Yurt Royale at €854 against €1,330, and the Eco Twin Yurt at €550 against €1,139. By 7–14 February the Eco Cabin had risen to €1,696, more than double the December week. March was usually a little cheaper than February again.

The weather trade-off is smaller than the price gap. The operator’s table gives December an average of 20 °C with 29 mm of rain and January 18 °C with 16 mm, so early December is a touch milder and a touch wetter, and the operator says evenings are cool from October to March. Our reading is that families who can leave school and work behind in the first half of December get the best price for roughly the same sun. Stays up to 18 December are also the window for our first code. Christmas and New Year are the peak of the peak, they are excluded from that code, and they are the weeks that go first.

Villas and Apartments: What You Pay for a Pool or a Beach Walk

If the Finca is the budget end, here is the middle and top, again from the operator’s engine. Per person is the total divided by four, except for the two bigger villas where we divide by eight.

Two things jump out. Casa Pino is quoted for adult occupancy only, so children aged 3–17 may add to the total; the Villa Las Palmitas week is a January quote and its March week jumped to €3,273 for two adults.

What the Quote Does Not Include

The accommodation total is the part of a Lanzarote week we can price from the operator’s booking engine. Other costs depend on you, and we do not want to invent numbers for them.

• Flights. Lanzarote is roughly six hours from Helsinki and about four from the UK, and fares swing with school holidays. We did not research flight prices, so check them before you commit to a week.
• A car. For Finca de Arrieta, Fisherman’s Cottage, Casa Lili, Palacio, Casa Pino and Boutique Beach Villa, the operator can arrange a private airport transfer with a complimentary 5-seater car for up to 7 days, requested at least 48 hours before arrival. The Costa Teguise homes are walkable, so many families skip the car there.
• Food. All of these are self-catering. There is a supermarket in Arrieta, a 24/7 honesty shop at the Finca and a welcome pack with cava, water, milk, wine, coffee and tea on arrival.
• Deposit and insurance. The operator takes a 30% non-refundable deposit at booking, with the balance 30 days before arrival, and recommends travel insurance. A card authorisation is held as a damage deposit.

Three Budget Plans for a Family of Four

Here is how we would turn the table into a decision.

Our Honest Final Word

The number that surprised us was not the price of any one home but how much the date moves it. A family that can travel in early December pays roughly half of what the same home costs in February, and the cheapest cottage in January costs less than the Penthouse or The Beach House. Decide what you can flex, the week, the car or the pool, and the budget sorts itself out. We have not stayed in any of these homes, so use the operator’s live calendar and photos before you decide.
