Getting around
Trains and buses connect major cities affordably. FlixBus is popular across all three countries. Within cities, trams and metros are efficient and cheap.
Currency & costs
Poland uses the Złoty (PLN), Hungary the Forint (HUF), and Ukraine the Hryvnia (UAH). All three are very affordable compared to Western Europe.
Language tips
Polish, Hungarian, and Ukrainian are the local languages. English is growing in cities, especially among younger people. A few local words are always appreciated.
