IGLOO HOTEL SWITZERLAND
Sleep in a real igloo in Switzerland: Iglu-Dorf in Davos Klosters, Gstaad and Zermatt
Every December Iglu-Dorf builds snow villages high above Davos Klosters, Gstaad and Zermatt — real igloos at 1,900–2,700 m with a bottomless cheese fondue, an outdoor whirlpool and sauna, a night walk and breakfast all included. We are their affiliate partner: book directly on iglu-dorf.com with the code HUNGRYTRAVELFAMILY5 and pay 5% less on Sunday-to-Thursday nights from 4 January to 4 April 2027.
5% off your igloo night with code HUNGRYTRAVELFAMILY5
Type HUNGRYTRAVELFAMILY5 in the Promo-Code box of Iglu-Dorf’s own checkout (not the Voucher box) before you confirm — it is the only way the discount, and our small commission, is registered. Valid for the Romantic Igloo and the Family & Friends Igloo in Davos Klosters, Gstaad and Zermatt and the TinyLodge in Gstaad, for stays from 4 January to 4 April 2027, Sunday to Thursday nights. Not valid on Friday and Saturday nights, over Christmas/New Year, or in the Plus igloos, Innsbruck or Zugspitze.

Why we chose Iglu-Dorf
- The original: igloo villages built every winter since 1995/96, about 3,000 working hours per village, a patented method and a Guinness World Record
- Everything is included: welcome aperitif, guided igloo tour, all-you-can-eat Swiss cheese fondue, whirlpool and sauna time, night or snowshoe walk, expedition sleeping bag, morning tea in bed and breakfast
- Same price in all three Swiss villages — choose by mountain, not by budget: Matterhorn views in Zermatt, the biggest village in Davos, the lowest and most family-friendly in Gstaad
- Honest about the hard parts: about 0 °C inside, shared dry toilets, one night recommended — and a heated TinyLodge in Gstaad for anyone unsure
- Free cancellation up to 60 days before your night; cards accepted on site; dogs welcome on request
The igloos (and the warm cabin)
Three products in three villages are covered by our partnership. Prices are Iglu-Dorf’s published “from” prices for winter 2026/27; the live calendar shows the exact night price and which nights are open.

Romantic Igloo — Davos Klosters
Romantic Igloo · Davos Klosters · sleeps 2
from CHF 538 per night for 2
Below the Weissfluhjoch at about 2,500 m, in the biggest of the three villages (14 sleeping igloos). Double expedition sleeping bag, snow and ice art, light and USB socket; breakfast at the mountain restaurant.

Romantic Igloo — Gstaad
Romantic Igloo · Gstaad · sleeps 2
from CHF 538 per night for 2
The lowest village (about 1,900–2,000 m) below the Saanerslochgrat, check-in with an aperitif at the igloo bar. Running water and showers on site; the only village open on Monday nights after New Year.

Romantic Igloo — Zermatt
Romantic Igloo · Zermatt · sleeps 2
from CHF 538 per night for 2
Just below Rotenboden on the Gornergrat railway at about 2,700 m, with the Matterhorn in front of the igloo doors. The smallest village (24 guests) — book Sunday and Thursday nights early.

Family & Friends Igloo — Davos Klosters
Family & Friends Igloo · Davos Klosters · 3–6 people
from CHF 627 per night for 3 people, each additional person charged separately
One igloo for the whole family or group: a shared snow bed, one expedition sleeping bag per person. Children from about 6; dinner alternative for non-cheese eaters is a vegetable stew.

Family & Friends Igloo — Gstaad
Family & Friends Igloo · Gstaad · 3–6 people
from CHF 627 per night for 3 people, each additional person charged separately
Iglu-Dorf’s own recommendation for the youngest igloo sleepers — the lowest village, with a warm kota for the evening and showers on site. Pasta with tomato sauce as the fondue alternative.

Family & Friends Igloo — Zermatt
Family & Friends Igloo · Zermatt · 3–4 people
from CHF 627 per night for 3 people, each additional person charged separately
Up to four under the Matterhorn. Iglu-Dorf currently takes Zermatt Family & Friends bookings by e-mail (info@iglu-dorf.com) or phone (+41 41 612 27 28) — quote the code in your message.

TinyLodge — Gstaad
TinyLodge · Gstaad · sleeps 2 · heated cabin
from CHF 438 per night for 2
A small heated wooden cabin inside the Gstaad igloo village: panoramic window, real bed with blankets, kettle with tea and coffee — and the same fondue, sauna, whirlpool and breakfast evening as the igloos.

Which nights does the code work?
Sunday to Thursday nights · 4 Jan – 4 Apr 2027
Not Friday or Saturday nights
After 3 January the Davos and Zermatt hotels are closed Monday to Wednesday and Gstaad Tuesday and Wednesday, so in practice the code nights are Sunday and Thursday (Gstaad also Monday). The live calendar shows which nights are open.

Davos Klosters, Gstaad or Zermatt?
Same programme, same prices — choose the mountain
Zermatt for the view, Gstaad for families, Davos for space
Zermatt is the postcard and books out first; Gstaad is the lowest, has the TinyLodge and suits younger children; Davos Klosters is the biggest village in the Parsenn ski area.
