Shared tours pick up outside Clarion Hotel The Edge in central Tromsø — look for the black Mercedes. The Northern Lights Tour leaves at 19:00 (18:30 from 25 October), the Aurora Snowshoe Hike at 18:30 and the daytime fjord and snowshoe tours at 10:00. Private tours let you choose your pickup location during checkout. The Arctic Snowshoe Adventure (Advanced) meets at Kaigata 6 instead. Tour durations include the transfer time.

It differs per tour, and the booking calendar lists it before you pay. According to the operator: the Northern Lights Tour includes a local guide, transport in a premium Mercedes-Benz vehicle, a winter suit, a warm meal, snacks and hot drinks; the Sommarøy & Kvaløya tour includes the guide, transport and a local lunch; the snowshoe hikes include the guide, minivan transport and snowshoes with poles (the evening hike adds snacks and a hot drink). Bring your own warm layers and winter boots on everything except the Northern Lights Tour.

According to the operator, shared tours are refunded in full if you cancel more than 48 hours before the start; inside 48 hours the full price is charged. Northern-lights sightings are never guaranteed — the guide chases clear sky, nature decides — so book the aurora night early in your trip and read the policy shown in the booking window before paying.

Operator recommendations: Northern Lights Tour and the fjord tours from age 7; the snowshoe hikes from age 10; the advanced snowshoe adventure from 16. The private Northern Lights, Sommarøy & Kvaløya, Ersfjord & Grøtfjord and reindeer-farm tours are listed as all ages, which is why we point families with small children to the private versions. Shared tours take 2–8 guests; larger groups on request.

The northern-lights and snowshoe tours are winter tours; the fjord tours run year-round; the e-bike and Senja tours are summer tours; private whale watching runs October to January. Groups are small (2–8 guests) and the operator picks the clearest sky, so popular winter dates fill — book the aurora night as soon as your flights are fixed, and book it for your first evening, not your last.
