Eco Cabin at Finca de Arrieta: Our Honest Guide to Lanzarote Retreats’ Two-Bedroom Sea-View Cabin
A detached 80 m² stone-and-wood cabin with two bedrooms, a walled garden, hammocks and a view of the sea, 300 metres from a golden-sand beach in northern Lanzarote. We went through the operator’s pages and booking engine to see who the Eco Cabin really suits, what it costs for a winter week and how to take 5% off.

This guide is built from the live property pages and booking engine of Lanzarote Retreats — sleeping capacities, inclusions, distances and prices come from the operator, never invented. We have not stayed in these homes ourselves; we research them and send readers.

What the Eco Cabin Is, and Where It Sits
Lanzarote Retreats is a family-run company that has been on the island since 1985 and opened Finca de Arrieta in 2007. The Finca is a village of 21 self-catering homes (yurts, stone cottages and villas) in Arrieta, a fishing village of about 400 people on the north-east coast, in the Haría municipality. There is no purpose-built resort here. There are seafront fish restaurants, a pizzeria with takeaway and a supermarket, and a 300 m track from the Finca down to Playa de la Garita, a golden-sand beach with calm water.
The Eco Cabin5% off · code inside is the operator’s two-bedroom detached home for four adults plus two children. According to the live property page it was restored with local stone and sustainable materials, has about 80 m² of living space on a single level, and looks over the sea from the lounge and kitchen. We should be clear, as always: Joona and Alla have not stayed here. We write as family travellers who research carefully and send readers, so everything below comes from Lanzarote Retreats’ own pages, FAQ and booking engine.
The Layout, Room by Room
The operator describes a simple single-level plan: lounge and kitchen at the front with large patio doors, a hallway behind, and both bedrooms and the shower room off that hallway. In detail:

- Master bedroom: a super king-size four-poster double bed, sea views and direct access to the terrace.
- Second bedroom: twin beds that can be pushed together for a couple, also with terrace access.
- Shower room: one shared by both bedrooms, with a walk-in double shower, stone washbasin and WC. There is one bathroom in total, which matters if you are four adults.
- Living area: open-plan lounge with a double sofa bed, free fast wifi and seating for four.
- Kitchen: bespoke and fully fitted, with a gas oven and grill, four-ring gas hob and a fridge-freezer.
For a family, the operator says the sofa bed, a z-bed or a travel cot can take two extra children or infants. Baby kit (travel cot, high chair, changing mat, potty, toddler step and baby bath) is free on request, and child car seats are free too.
The Garden, the Terrace and the Shared Pool
Outside is where a cabin like this earns its price. The Cabin has its own mature walled and gated garden, so small children cannot wander off, with a shaded terrace, sun loungers, two hammocks, a BBQ and a teak garden dining set. The operator says the terrace looks over the well-kept garden. There is a further shared shower room and WC, plus a covered kitchen and lounge, at the nearby pool area.

The swimming pool is shared with the rest of the Finca. It is 13 m by 2.5 m, solar-heated and, according to the operator, open all year, which is the point in January when Rovaniemi is at around −20 °C. Operator-wide extras include a children’s play park, toys and books, giant chess, ping-pong, donkeys, chickens and fresh eggs from the hen-house, and an honesty shop open 24/7. A welcome pack of cava, water, milk, wine, coffee and tea is waiting on arrival.
Who the Cabin Suits, and Who Should Look Elsewhere
It suits a family of four to six who want two real bedrooms and a garden of their own without paying villa money, and two couples travelling together who are happy to share one shower room. It also suits parents of young children, since the gated garden, free baby kit and the shared pool are all within a few steps.

Look elsewhere if you need three bedrooms or two bathrooms (the Eco Luxury Farmhouse5% off · code inside has three bedrooms and a private pool), or if you are a family of four on a tighter budget: the studio-style Eco Garden Cottage5% off · code inside sleeps four adults plus two children and was our cheapest family sample at €893 for a week. Also remember that Finca homes have no TV, dishwasher, electric kettle or iron, and no air conditioning or heating, because the village runs on solar power with a generator back-up. If your family cannot spend a week without screens, this is not the place.

Lanzarote Retreats does not publish a rate card; the price appears when you enter dates and guests. We did exactly that on 23 October 2026 for the Cabin, for 7 nights and 2 adults:
| Dates quoted | Total for 7 nights | Per night |
|---|---|---|
| 5–12 December 2026 | €770 | about €110 |
| 10–17 January 2027 | €1,336 | about €191 |
| 24–31 January 2027 | €1,401 | about €200 |
| 7–14 February 2027 | €1,696 | about €242 |
| 7–14 March 2027 | €1,579 | about €226 |
Two things stand out. First, the quote for 10–17 January stayed at €1,336 whether we entered two adults, two adults with two children, or four adults with two children, because children 17 and under stay free at the Finca and the price covers the whole home. Second, early December was far cheaper than the January to March peak, so the gap between a pre-Christmas week and a February week was about €926 in these samples. These are a dated snapshot, not a promise: availability and the exact price for your dates are on the live calendar.
Winter Weather and Honest Trade-offs
The operator’s weather table gives average highs of 18 °C in January and February, 19 °C in March and 20 °C in December, with 12 to 29 mm of rain a month in that season. Lanzarote is windy, evenings can be cool and the sea is roughly 18 to 22 °C in winter, so pack a fleece and a light waterproof. Occasionally a calima (Saharan dust and warm air) rolls in. Use sun protection even in winter. Atlantic swell can make some north-facing beaches rough, so check conditions before you swim.
The honest trade-offs are these: one shared bathroom for up to four adults, a 300 m track to the beach (very walkable, but you carry the beach bag), a shared rather than private pool, and a quiet village rather than a lively resort. If you want shops, bars and a promenade on your doorstep, Costa Teguise homes such as the Ocean View Penthouse5% off · code inside fit better.
Getting There and Getting Around
Finca de Arrieta is 20 km from Arrecife airport. Lanzarote Retreats can arrange a private return airport transfer in a minivan (ask at least 48 hours ahead) for Finca guests, and the package includes a complimentary 5-seater car, hybrid where possible, for up to 7 days. Drivers must be 25 or older with a licence held for two years or more, and the price depends on group size and dates, so ask for a quote. There is also a bus stop on the main road by the Finca. Flights from Helsinki take roughly six hours, and Lanzarote is two hours behind Finland in winter, so there is no real jet lag.
Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out at 10:00, with self check-in. The Finca has its own housekeeping, maintenance and guest-relations team, and a WhatsApp concierge during your stay. Minimum stay at the Finca is 3 nights (2 nights if you arrive within a month).

Up to 4 adults plus 2 children or infants, according to the operator: two bedrooms for the adults, and the double sofa bed, a z-bed or a travel cot for the children.
