For a group of ten to sixteen, the obvious solution is two vehicles on the same itinerary. That keeps the small-group feel and means each guide manages a manageable number of people. Whether you book two separate private tours or ask for a single coordinated arrangement is something to settle with the operator.

We would think about it like this:

• Two shared tours could work if you do not mind mixing with other guests, though it splits your group across different vehicles.
• Two private tours keep the group together at a cost per head of NOK 15,000 divided by the number in each vehicle.

For a group of ten in two vehicles of five, the private northern lights cost would be NOK 3,000 each. For two vehicles of eight, it would be NOK 1,875 each.

Mixed-Age Groups and Multi-Generation Trips

Large groups are often multi-generational, with grandparents, parents and children. That affects tour choice. The private northern lights tour and the private fjord tours are listed for all ages. The shared northern lights tour is recommended for ages 7+, and snowshoe tours for ages 10+. The reindeer farm visit (NOK 35,000, 6–7 hours, all ages) is an option for groups who want a culture-first day.

Think about the slowest and youngest members of the group when you plan. A long night chase may not suit everyone, and a split plan, with a daytime fjord tour for all and an optional evening chase for those who want it, tends to be happier.

Pickup, Hotels and Logistics

Plan a day of rest between big outings. A group of ten with mixed energy levels needs more recovery than a couple, and the first night is best kept empty.
