Iglu-Dorf Davos Klosters in one paragraph
Davos Klosters is the largest of the three Swiss villages: 14 overnight igloos and up to 46 overnight guests, below the Weissfluhjoch station near the Schifer/Totalp junction on the Parsenn side, at about 2,500 m (the village page says 2,570 m; we say “about”). The 2026/27 season runs from 26 December 2026 to 4 April 2027, and our code covers stays from 4 January.

Because it is the biggest village, it is the one where a Family & Friends Igloo takes up to six people, and the one with the most igloos to choose from. It is also the one where Iglu-Dorf’s FAQ lists no running water or showers, so the night is the most basic of the three villages. If you want a night in a snow igloo with a view over the Parsenn ski area and the least fuss around it, this is the village.
How the evening runs, from the Parsennbahn to breakfast
Meeting time is 4:00 pm at the Panoramarestaurant Weissfluhjoch. You get there by the Parsennbahn, changing at the Höhenweg middle station. Night guests are guided up and never walk alone. Then the programme begins: welcome drink and aperitif tray, igloo tour, a night walk or snowshoeing, the whirlpool and sauna in a private slot, and an all-you-can-eat cheese fondue in the igloo restaurant or the wooden kota with its open fire. A vegetable stew is the alternative on request.

In the morning there is tea served to your sleeping bag and breakfast at the mountain restaurant at 8:30 am, until 10:00 am. Iglu-Dorf gives no fixed check-out time; you leave individually after breakfast.
Luggage: a backpack is ideal, wheeled suitcases are not suitable, extra luggage can stay at the Iglu-Dorf at your own risk, and there are no lockers there.
Cold, dry toilets and sleeping in snow
Expect about −2 to +2 °C inside. The bed is snow with thermal mats, thin mattresses and sheepskins; you sleep in an expedition sleeping bag with a liner and can ask for fleece blankets. The toilets are shared dry toilets in the village centre. There is no shower, so bring wet wipes and be comfortable with one night of basic washing.

If that sounds like too much, the TinyLodge in Gstaad is the gentler option in the same family of stays, and the lower village in Gstaad is the one Iglu-Dorf suggests for very small children and for pregnancy, as far as we can read. Davos is not the village for either.
Romantic Igloo or Family & Friends Igloo in Davos
The Romantic Igloo — Davos Klosters5% off · HUNGRYTRAVELFAMILY5 is for two, from CHF 538 per night as published in November 2026, with a double sleeping bag by default and single bags on request. The Family & Friends Igloo — Davos Klosters5% off · HUNGRYTRAVELFAMILY5 takes 3 to 6 people from CHF 627 per night including three people, with each additional guest charged separately.

For a group of friends of five or six it is the most practical igloo in the Swiss villages. Iglu-Dorf recommends the stay for children aged 6 and over. The age bands in the checkout are adults 16+, teenagers 10–15 and children up to 9.
What to do around your Davos igloo night
Davos Klosters is a big ski area in Graubünden, and the igloo is in the middle of it. A natural plan: ski or snowshoe in the morning, go up to Weissfluhjoch for 4:00 pm, and stay for the evening. The Parsennbahn ticket is not included in the igloo price, so check what your ski pass covers. Non-skiers can use the day to explore the town and take the train up in the afternoon.
For a quiet couple’s trip, one night in the igloo and one night in a warm hotel in town works well: you get the adventure and a proper shower on day two.

Sunday to Thursday: which nights work
With HUNGRYTRAVELFAMILY5 you can book Sunday to Thursday nights between 4 January and 4 April 2027. Iglu-Dorf’s FAQ says the Davos hotel is closed Monday to Wednesday after 3 January, so in practice Sunday and Thursday nights (Gstaad also Monday) — the live calendar on iglu-dorf.com shows exactly which nights are open. Davos fills up on weekends, which the code does not cover anyway, so a Sunday or Thursday is a calmer choice.

Season runs until 4 April, so a late-March night gives you longer days; as always, we cannot promise snow or clear skies.
What to pack for Davos
- warm winter clothes and shoes, good gloves, two hats and dry socks
- long underwear or pyjamas for the sleeping bag
- a bath towel, swimwear and flip-flops for the hot tub
- a headlamp, sunglasses, sunscreen and ski goggles
- a toothbrush, wet wipes, and a backpack rather than a suitcase
Do not bring your own sleeping bag, Iglu-Dorf supplies one.

Davos Klosters compared with Gstaad and Zermatt
The three villages in our deal share the same published prices, so you choose by setting and logistics.
| Village | Altitude (about) | Igloos | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Davos Klosters | 2,500 m | 14, up to 46 guests | Groups of up to six, big ski area |
| Gstaad | 1,900–2,000 m | 10, up to 40 guests | First-timers, TinyLodge, more open nights |
| Zermatt | 2,700 m | 10, up to 24 guests | Matterhorn scenery, couples |
Davos has the highest igloo count and the lowest comfort level on paper: no running water. If a shower the next morning matters to you, Gstaad or Zermatt are the safer choices. If you want to be in the middle of a major ski area with friends, Davos is the one.
On the code, all three villages are equal: 5% off with HUNGRYTRAVELFAMILY5 for Sunday to Thursday nights from 4 January to 4 April 2027.
How to book your igloo night with HUNGRYTRAVELFAMILY5
There are no special links or tracking cookies in this partnership. The code typed at checkout is the only thing that gives you the 5% and registers the booking as ours, so it is the one step not to skip. We are Iglu-Dorf’s affiliate partner and earn a small commission when you book with our code; it costs you nothing extra.
- Pick your village and igloo. Open Romantic Igloo — Davos Klosters5% off · HUNGRYTRAVELFAMILY5 or the quick-booking page on iglu-dorf.com and choose the village and the igloo type.
- Add your guests first (adults 16+, teenagers 10–15, children up to 9). The date calendar only appears after that. Choose a Sunday-to-Thursday night between 4 January and 4 April 2027 — in practice Sunday and Thursday nights (Gstaad also Monday) — the live calendar on iglu-dorf.com shows exactly which nights are open.
- Fill in guest details and extras: single sleeping bags instead of a double (free), a dog (CHF 25), a vegetarian or pasta dinner alternative, a surprise cake or a rose in ice.
- Find the “Promo-Code” box (“Do you want to redeem a promo code?”), type HUNGRYTRAVELFAMILY5 and press Add. Check that the total drops by 5% before you confirm. The “Voucher” box above it is for gift vouchers, not for our code.
- Confirm and pay. You can cancel free of charge up to 60 days before the night; after that Iglu-Dorf charges 10% (59–30 days), 50% (29–7 days) and 100% (under 7 days or no-show), with refunds preferably as vouchers. Discounts are not cumulative.
Who should skip Davos
An igloo night is not for everyone, and we would rather say so now. It is not a good fit for children under about 6 (Iglu-Dorf recommends the stay from age 6 and offers no changing tables, highchairs or childcare), for anyone who needs a private bathroom in the night (the toilets are shared and dry; the “Plus” igloo with a private toilet is not part of our code), for people who cannot walk in snow with a backpack, or for light sleepers who dislike sleeping at about 0 °C. Wheelchairs and limited mobility are not supported either. And if you can only travel on a Friday or Saturday, the code does not apply to those nights.
