We wrote this guide because “which code, where, and what if my dates are awkward” is exactly the kind of thing that gets lost in an email. Everything here comes from the information Lanzarote Retreats gave us and from the operator’s own booking pages. Which Code for Which Dates

The rule is simple, and the only room for confusion is the edges of the windows.

Two edge cases are worth checking with the office rather than guessing. First, the festive fortnight: the first code excludes Christmas and New Year peak dates, and the second begins in January, so a stay that sits inside that period is not covered by either of our codes as we understand them. Second, a stay that straddles a boundary, such as arriving on 15 December and leaving on 22 December. If your dates are like that, message Lanzarote Retreats before paying and ask how the discount will be applied. We would rather you ask than be surprised at checkout.

Never use a code for the wrong window, and never mix them up with other codes you may see online; the operator runs its own promotions, and ours are only the two above.

Step by Step: Booking on the Website

This is the route we send most readers on, following the operator’s own instructions for its booking page.

1. Pick the home. Open the page of the holiday home you like on lanzaroteretreats.com. Our hub of researched homes is at Stays in Lanzarote.
2. Choose dates and guests. The booking system is live, so the calendar shows real availability and the price for your dates. Winter weeks fill up first.
3. Press Book Now. The operator’s wording is that this is how you pay your deposit and confirm your stay.
4. Enter the code. Use code HUNGRYTRAVELFAMILY5 for stays until 18 December 2026 (Christmas and New Year excluded) or HUNGRYTRAVELFAMILY275 for stays from January 2027 — 5% off either way.
5. Check the total. Before you pay, look at the price summary and confirm the reduction has appeared. If it has not, stop and message the office.

The price on the property page is the normal price. The discount comes off at checkout, so you do not need to search for a special link.

If You Would Rather Talk to a Person

Lanzarote Retreats says the easiest way to book is a WhatsApp message to +34 638 973 228 or the live chat at the bottom right of any property page. Tell the office which home, which dates and how many adults and children, and they will make the reservation for you; the office is open seven days a week, and the company also lists a phone number, +34 928 826 720, and an email, info@lanzaroteretreats.com.

If you book this way, say clearly in your first message that you are a Hungrytravelfamily reader and name which window your stay falls into. Ask them to confirm the 5% reduction in writing before you pay your deposit. We cannot see bookings or confirm anything on the operator’s behalf, so that confirmation is your safety net.

What You Pay, and When

The payment terms below are the operator’s, and they matter more than the discount if your plans might change.

• Deposit: 30% of the booking, non-refundable, taken when you confirm.
• Balance: due 30 days before arrival, or in full if you book inside 30 days. Card or bank transfer.
• Service fee: the operator says it is part of the accommodation cost and covers handling your booking and running the reservations service, so it is not an extra surprise at the end.
• Cancellation: cancelling after the deposit forfeits the deposit, and cancelling less than 30 days before arrival means the operator keeps 100%. It recommends travel insurance, and so do we.
• Check-in and out: from 16:00 and by 10:00, with an early check-in or late check-out for 50% of the nightly rate, subject to availability.

At the other homes the operator mentions its own rules, for example a four-night minimum at Villa Ocean Bliss. The Finca de Arrieta homes accept 3-night stays, or 2 nights if you arrive within a month. A damage deposit is taken by card authorisation, and all homes are non-smoking with no pets.

What 5% Looks Like on Real Quotes

To make the discount concrete, here are three Finca de Arrieta homes with 7-night quotes from the operator’s booking engine on 23 October 2026, all for 2 adults, and what 5% would be if it applied to the whole total. The real figure is whatever the checkout shows; this is only to give you a sense of scale.

The same operator note applies to all three: children 17 and under go free at Finca de Arrieta. The January quote for the Eco Garden Cottage and the Eco Barn did not change when we added two children, which is a big part of why we send families there. The Eco Garden Cottage sleeps up to 4 adults plus 2 children, the Eco Barn up to 2 adults plus 3 children, and the Eco Luxury Villa up to 4 adults plus 2 children.

Why Book Your Winter-Sun Week Now

Lanzarote Retreats’ own weather table gives December an average of 20 °C with 29 mm of rain, January 18 °C with 16 mm, February 18 °C with 18 mm and March 19 °C with 12 mm, and the operator puts the December-to-March average at 21 °C. November to March is the European winter-sun season, and Christmas and New Year is the busiest stretch of all. A live calendar means a week you like today may not be there next month.

If you can travel before 18 December, the first code applies, and for a sense of an early-season price the booking engine quoted €893 for 15–22 November 2026 at the Eco Garden Cottage for 2 adults. If you are flexible on dates, January is where the second code starts, and it is also the month the operator’s samples show most clearly. We cannot tell you which is the better week for your family, only that you should compare your own dates on the live calendar.

Mistakes to Avoid

Discount codes are easy to get slightly wrong, so here is a checklist built from the rules above rather than from anything exotic. Match the code to your travel dates, not to the date you book: a booking made today for a January stay uses the January code. Enter the code in the discount-code field during the booking flow and look at the price summary before you pay anything. If your stay crosses 18 December or sits in the Christmas and New Year period, ask the office how the discount applies before committing. And remember that the deposit is non-refundable, so travel insurance is worth sorting out at the same time as the booking.
