Lanzarote in November: Weather, Sea Temperature and Where to Stay for a Late-Autumn Family Escape (With 5% Off)
November is the month Lanzarote switches from summer to winter sun: an average of 22 °C, about 15 mm of rain across the whole month, and holiday homes that cost noticeably less than in January. We went through the operator’s weather table and its booking-engine quotes to see what a November week really looks like, and which Lanzarote Retreats homes we would book for it.

This guide is built from the live property pages and booking engine of Lanzarote Retreats — sleeping capacities, inclusions, distances and prices come from the operator, never invented. We have not stayed in these homes ourselves; we research them and send readers.
November is one of the best-value months for Lanzarote winter sun. Lanzarote Retreats’ weather table puts the average at 22 °C with about 15 mm of rain for the month, the Finca de Arrieta pool is solar-heated and open all year, and the booking engine quoted far less than we saw for January: €893 for 7 nights from 15 November 2026 in the Eco Garden Cottage5% off · code inside (4 adults + 2 children), €908 in the Eco Twin Yurt5% off · code inside and €4,344 for the whole Villa Palacio & Yurts5% off · code inside estate (up to 21 adults and 6 children). The trade-offs: evenings are cooler, the sea is cool rather than warm, and the north coast can be breezy. Book directly with Lanzarote Retreats and use code HUNGRYTRAVELFAMILY5 for stays until 18 December 2026 (Christmas and New Year excluded) or HUNGRYTRAVELFAMILY275 for stays from January 2027 — 5% off either way. November stays fall under the first code.

What November Weather in Lanzarote Is Really Like
Lanzarote Retreats publishes a month-by-month weather table on its property pages: October 24 °C with 10 mm of rain, November 22 °C with 15 mm, December 20 °C with 29 mm, and January 18 °C with 16 mm. So November sits between the last of the summer warmth and the proper winter, and it is still a full 22 °C on average. It is the driest of the autumn-to-winter months after October, and noticeably more settled than December on paper.
Remember what an average hides. Daytime in the sun feels warm; evenings feel much cooler, especially in the north-east villages. The operator’s own packing advice for October to March is a fleece for evenings, a light waterproof for the occasional shower and, if you want to spend real time in the Atlantic, a wetsuit. The island also has trade winds and occasionally calima, Saharan dust and heat, so treat any forecast more than a few days away with caution. We write from Rovaniemi, where November means snow and short days, so 22 °C is almost absurdly good to us.
Can You Swim in November?
Yes, with the right expectations. The Atlantic is cool in winter — roughly 20 °C is a sensible expectation, which is general knowledge rather than an operator figure — and north-facing beaches can have swell, so it is a bit of a different swim to a Mediterranean summer. The safe answer is pools. Finca de Arrieta’s shared pool is 13 m × 2.5 m, solar-heated and, according to the operator, open all year. The Eco Luxury Farmhouse has its own solar-heated pool, Villa Palacio & Yurts has solar-heated pools, and The Beach House in Costa Teguise has a solar-heated plunge pool. Villa Las Palmitas and Finca Panorama have electrically heated pools. Villa Ocean Bliss in Costa Teguise has a private pool, but it is unheated, so we would skip it for November swimming.
Solar heating works best in a sunny spell; on a cloudy week the water will be cooler. If a warm pool is the whole point of your trip, ask Lanzarote Retreats about the current pool temperature before you book.
Why November Is a Good-Value Month
Lanzarote Retreats has no fixed rate card, so every price is a dated snapshot. On 23 October 2026 the booking engine quoted these totals for 7 nights, 15–22 November 2026, for 2 adults:

| Home | Sleeps | Quoted for 7 nights |
|---|---|---|
| Eco Chiquitita Yurts | 3 adults + 2 children | €790 |
| Eco Garden Cottage | 4 adults + 2 children | €893 |
| Eco Twin Yurt | 2 adults + 4 children | €908 |
| Eco Luxury Yurt Suite | 4 adults + 2 children | €947 |
| Eco Beach Yurt | 4 adults + 4 children | €967 |
| Vineyard Cottage | 2 adults | €1,303 |
| Eco Fisherman’s Cottage | 2 adults + 2 children | €1,559 |
| Villa Ocean Bliss | 4 adults + 2 children | €2,205 |
| Villa Palacio & Yurts | 21 adults + 6 children | €4,344 |
For comparison, the same engine quoted €1,163 for the Eco Garden Cottage on 10–17 January 2027 and €1,298 for 7–14 March, so a mid-November week was roughly a fifth to a third cheaper than the January and March weeks we sampled. Children 17 and under stay free at Finca de Arrieta. Prices depend on dates and guests, so check the live calendar.
The Finca de Arrieta Homes We Would Book for November
For most families we would start at Finca de Arrieta: 21 off-grid homes, solar power with generator back-up, a play park, donkeys and chickens, a honesty shop open 24/7, and a 300 m track to the calm, golden Playa de la Garita. Three homes stand out for November:

- The Eco Garden Cottage5% off · code inside: a 40 m² studio cottage with a super king-size bed and a double sofa bed, plus the Buena Vista bedroom, so four adults or a family of six fit. It is the cheapest home on the list that still has a walled garden and sea views.
- The Eco Twin Yurt5% off · code inside: two adjacent Mongolian yurts, a 6 m with a marble floor and super king-size bed, and a 3 m with twin beds for children. The yurts are double-lined and naturally insulated, so they stay comfortable in the cool evenings.
- The Eco Luxury Villa5% off · code inside: 200 m² on one level with a four-poster bed, a bath and a walled garden, if you want a proper house for up to six.
All are self-catering. No Finca home has a television, an electric kettle or a dishwasher, and none has air conditioning or heating, which is part of the off-grid deal. Free wifi is included.

If you want a resort with restaurants on the doorstep and no car, Costa Teguise is the answer. The Beach House is 100 m from a sandy beach with a solar-heated plunge pool and a roof terrace with sea views, and the Ocean View Penthouse and Surf Pod are in the same resort. Costa Teguise has Las Cucharas beach, the Pueblo Marinero square and a Friday market, and it is about 15 minutes from the airport. Villa Ocean Bliss5% off · code inside is frontline with sea views and a private pool, but the pool is unheated and the villa has a 4-night minimum.

In the south, Villa Las Palmitas5% off · code inside near Puerto Calero has an electrically heated pool and a hot tub, which makes it the one to look at if warm water matters more than anything. It is a drive-to-everything base, 6–7 minutes from the marina.
What to Pack and What to Expect
Our November list, built from the operator’s advice: swimwear and sun cream (the sun is strong even in winter), a fleece or jumper for the evening, a light waterproof, sturdy shoes for the volcanic paths, a torch for the walk back from the village, and a wetsuit if you are serious about surfing. Finca homes provide beach towels (one per person), a welcome pack with cava, water, milk, wine, coffee and tea, and baby kit on request (travel cot, high chair, changing mat, potty, baby bath). Hairdryers are available on request only.
Plan indoor days too. A wet or windy day in November is a good day for the César Manrique sites, the caves and volcano landscape, or a long lunch in a seafront fish restaurant in Arrieta.
November vs December vs January: When to Go
November is warmer than January (22 °C against 18 °C on the operator’s table), cheaper in our samples, and quieter. December is cooler and wetter on paper (20 °C, 29 mm) and its second half is peak Christmas season. January and February are the heart of European winter sun and the dearest weeks we sampled. If you can travel in the second half of November, you get most of the sun at the lowest prices. If you can only go at Christmas or New Year, book early: those dates are excluded from the code for pre-18 December stays, and January stays take the second code.

Our Honest Final Word
We have not stayed in any of these homes; we research Lanzarote Retreats’ pages and booking engine and send readers. On that evidence, November is the month we would choose for a first winter-sun trip with children: 22 °C on average, a heated pool, and weekly prices that start below €900 in the Finca’s cottages and yurts. The caveats are cooler evenings, a cool sea and the off-grid basics of no television and no air conditioning.
