Hungry Travel Family (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Joona and Alla, based in Rovaniemi, Finland. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Finnish data protection law.
1. Who we are

2. What data we collect
- Contact form submissions — name, email, message content.
- Newsletter subscriptions — email address, first name (optional).
- Comments — name, email, website (optional), IP address, comment content.
- Analytics — aggregated, anonymised usage data via Google Analytics.

3. Legal basis
We process your data under Article 6(1) GDPR: consent, contract/pre-contract, and legitimate interest.
4. How long we keep it
Contact enquiries are kept for up to 24 months then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Comments remain with the post unless you request deletion.
5. Who we share it with
Only our strictly necessary service providers: our hosting provider, MailPoet (newsletter), and Google (analytics). We do not sell your data.
6. Your rights
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion.
- Object to processing or withdraw consent.
- Request data portability.
- Lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto).

7. International transfers
Some processors (e.g. Google) may transfer data outside the EU using Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Children
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
