Most foreign visitors barrel past it on the way to somewhere else, which is their loss: this is one of the friendliest, most authentically Finnish city-break candidates in the country, and it wears its Karelian identity proudly.<\/p>\n<p>Lietsu sits in the perfect spot to test that claim: right in the city centre, close to the river view, with the city&#8217;s caf\u00e9s, shops and evening strolls all within a few minutes on foot.
