A checkpoint, a flag, a row of booths. What you usually get is a sign by the road, a change in the colour of the road markings, and \u2014 if you are crossing in a remote area \u2014 nothing else at all. The border between Norway and Sweden runs for 1,630 kilometres, from the Iddefjord in the south all the way up to the tripoint with Finland at Treriksr\u00f8ysa.
