The ride takes about 30\u201335 minutes, through the protected mangrove islands of the Bastimentos National Marine Park. On departure day the boat leaves the lodge around 12:30 pm. Other times mean a private transfer for a fee, and early pick-ups are not available. From Boquete, a bus transfer via Almirante (Hello Travel Panama) takes about four hours including the water taxi. If you come from Costa Rica, Sansa flies San Jos\u00e9 to Bocas, currently on Tuesdays and Thursdays (about 50 minutes), and the Caribe Shuttle goes overland.
