Make that the evening of the proposal, and do not add a second big thing the same day. A proposal needs calm. The first full day is the earliest we would suggest.<\/li><li><strong>Not the last evening.<\/strong> A delayed flight or a cloudy night would leave no second chance. One evening before departure is the safety net for any outdoor option.<\/li><li><strong>Not the day after a very early start.<\/strong> Tired people say yes just as warmly, but they remember it less well, and so do the photographs.<\/li><\/ol><p>For a trip of three nights, that usually means night two. For five nights, night three, with night four held as the spare.
