But the two halves have very different rules. A proposal needs a date and a plan. A legal wedding in Finland needs paperwork that has to be started well before you fly. If you try to compress both into a four-night stay without having done the paperwork, the wedding will not be legal, and that is a disappointment we want you to avoid.<\/p><p>So the practical question is not whether it is possible but which version you want: a proposal followed by a symbolic ceremony, a proposal followed by a legal wedding, or an elopement where the question has already been asked.
