This is the one that works: it hits everything important, doesn\u2019t feel rushed, and gets you to the port or airport in good shape on Day 3.<\/p>\n<h3>Day 1: The Acropolis, Plaka, and Monastiraki<\/h3>\n<p>Start at the Acropolis early \u2014 ideally at opening time (8am in summer). Crowds build fast after 10am, and the morning light on the Parthenon is genuinely beautiful. Buy your ticket in advance online; the combined ticket (\u20ac20) covers the Acropolis, the Ancient Agora, Kerameikos, and several other sites. You don\u2019t need a guide, but the free Acropolis app is genuinely good.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Morning (8:00\u201311:30am):<\/strong> Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. Go early; it fills up by 11am.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Midday:<\/strong> Lunch in Exarchia or back near Omonia. This is the students\u2019 neighborhood, and the food is excellent and cheap.
