Divided over seven driving days, that\u2019s around 190 km per day \u2014 which sounds modest until you factor in Iceland\u2019s single-lane bridges, unpaved F-roads crossing your path, sudden roadwork, and the fact that you\u2019ll want to stop every 20 minutes because something extraordinary is happening outside the windshield.<\/p>\n<p>We came from Rovaniemi \u2014 which means we\u2019re no strangers to driving long stretches of Arctic road in a 4WD. Day 6 took us up through Myvatn\u2019s geothermal landscape and into Akureyri, Iceland\u2019s northern capital.
